Our Suffering is Complicated.

I said that a week ago or something in reference to why listening to The Smiths makes us cooler than anyone that listens Alanis Morrissette. Its relevance extends far beyond Morrissey, though I don´t care to explain it.

If you will recall, I had pretty much run out of money in Chile for a 4 day weekend. Mint-chocolate chip ice cream bars helped me to persevere.

I began to develop a lolita complex so I beat it back to Peru, where I did this quite a bit.

But I went out a few times to get food.

This is ¨Montreal¨Cafe, they didn´t have poutine.

Boredom manifesting itself as art.

Pedestrian streets increase loneliness. But they usually have good coffee.

Arrequipa was just another city with a crazy colonial centre.

For all of my shit-talk, sometimes magic happens. Even in Peru.

Pretty intense Chalba spot.

I worked up the motivation to go to the Museum of Contemporary Art. It was pretty belly of the worm. But this stuff wasn´t so bad.

This was actually not art, I just blogged it for Bramwell.

But these 2 are so art..

Stupid bike art..

This camera was hidden away under a staircase, it was the coolest thing in the place.

It looks like a naked ghost lady, but really it´s just a clever cinderblock wall

Really, where? Can I come?

I like the night life, because it´s dead like me..

Before embarking upon a 3 day long bus ride, I took an out of focus picture of some Pakoras.

I had a stop-over in Lima so I got a room so I could have a shower. Hostel San Francisco has the best shower´s in South America.

And they have monkey extinguishers.

I´m pretty tired of anything that looks like this.

Hey Tyspace, I heard you´re looking for a job, try the kike store.

Contrary to what Bram says, nothing cool happens on the bus. I suppose I did get robbed for $400, but that isn´t interesting to anyone. Besides, I don´t have any photos to back it up.

Back in Quito, eating this, with that..

It´s the same as it was.

Check out my crazy dinner...

I called Blog rights on it. Our every night Indian joint..

And our old friend Schwarama Time.

Check out the bogus sweater Indie rock thing I bought..

Hostel Art

Bramwell did lots of drawrings.

Everybody loves a bullfight poster.

Oh look. One of those..

Don´t drink the water - or eat vegetarian set lunches.

I think Madball played this show.

Since Hostel Pierre is actually Quebecoise, he has poutine around.

The demon who guards the river styx.

Since women hate us, we exerted our man-hood all over this large phallus.

Lounging has been outlawed at the park.

The most expensive beer of the trip. $2

This dude was in charge.

Not everyone bowls like I do, they try, but fail.

By the time I´m done with him Adley might actually be cool. This is his first mid-afternoon at the mall beer ever.

$2 rum, $1 juice and 2, fifty cent water bottles is a lot cheaper than home..

The Mexican Budweiser has never done me wrong.

What an amazing cultural experience.

Brahmwell is in there deep in the shadow backside..

Ron Jones was too mind blowing to blog, so I just blogged his bathroom. Best photo store visit ever.

5 hours later it was all foggy..

Craftily blogged bullfight protest.

Just in case those teens got too angsty they had a bunch of attack dogs hanging out.

Main street, Santo Domingo de Los Colorados. Also known as Suckville U.S.A

How quickly would I die, if I jumped from the top of the parachute?

It´s hard to imagine, but this park was pretty bogus. No coping is always good for a bummer, factor in the cracks and the rain and weird kids and.. Well..

Brahmwell stitched together a good photo of the place. But he didn´t blog this.

It´s really only 9 o´clock. It was a strange beast..

And he had that crazed ferrett look in his... Err face..

Canao was far less homo-erotic than I´m about to let on..

We ate a candle light dinner.

And took a romantic cruise on the insane party bus.

Really, the power was just out. So we drank beer on the beach..

Of all the struggle puppies in South America, this one might just be the GranPumbha of suffer.

And I lost my shaving cream, so I guess I´m growing a moustache. Sorry mom.

This is a poster for bullfights for kids. The power rangers are going to be there..

I spent the last two afternoons at the plaze del torros. Yes watching bullfights. I wouldn´t call it fun, but I would say it is one of the more interesting events I have paid for. Like everything else, Hemmingway has this to say about them:

¨I thought they would be simple and barbarous and cruel and that I would not like them, but that I would see certain and definite action which would give me the feeling of life and death that I was looking for. I found the definite action; but the bullfight was so far from simple and I liked it so much that it was much too complicated for my then equipment to deal with it.¨

I might have a blog photo of that next time. I´ll have to check..

Smithfits, December 16th. Be there.
